High Atlas  & Desert Tour- 10 Days/9 Nights

ITINERARY:

1 Day : Marrakech arrival .

Welcomed by Travelsmorocco staff, and carry you from the airport to the hotel. 

2 Day.- Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – The Ksiba .

This first stage, begins with  goin ahead to visit the  Cascades of Ouzoud (great 100 meters waterfall). We drive  by Ben el ouidane dum, and once we past it,we reach a  a small city surrounded by orange groves, olive trees and figs, we arrive at last to the Berber village of El Ksiba.

3 Day.- The Ksiba – Imilchil  – tinghir .

On this day we will discover the splendor of the Atlas Mountains. Go through Imilchil; a Berber village located in the High Atlas.Once we pass Imilchil,we get to the Toudra gorges,that we can go through till its a special canions.We continue down to Tinghir where we spend overnight.

  4 Day. Tinghir – Tenjdad – Arfoud –  Merzourga .

After breakfast,we departure to the desert,driving from tenjdad and many other old villages to reach Arfoud;the fossils land.All kinds of fossils are expected to be find here. At the afternoon we  arrive at last at the foot of the beautiful dunes of Erg Chebbi .

5 Day.- Merzourga – Erg Chebbi – Sahara .

 After breakfast,we go to  enjoy the  Merzouga 4×4 Tour, where we visit Khamlia. Its an African-village,where we can  be entertained by the local community who plays traditional desert music with a simple traditional instruments. In the afternoon,we go back to the same hotel to be prepared for camels trekking.Enjoying the sunset and rise among the dundes.Overnight at the berber camp.
6 Day.- Sahara – Erissani – Tazarine – Zagora .

After an unforgettable day over the desert, we departing to Errisani.The first imperial city of Morocco before fes,Marrakech,and Rabat.It is an important commercial centre on the area.It is considered as an exchange market for the caravan routes that passing through there in the past.Erissani as well is very know by the nomads living on the area.We continue to Alnif,Tazarine and Nkoub to reach the massive Draa Valley,that we can follow down to reach Zagora at the afternoon.

7 Day : Zagora – Draa vallley – Ouarzazate .

After breakfast,we start a new journey,going through the longest river in Morocco.It is the Draa valley with its pretty palm trees.In the middle of the valley we deviate from the main road to take an off road going on the hart of the valley with its lovely village and kasbahs ti a small city of Agdz.In here we start to enter the anti atlas.Crossing the range of the mountains to arrive to Ouarzazate at the afternoon.

8 Day : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.

A few kilometers from Ouarzazate city, there is the kasbah called Ait Ben Haddou. The Morocco’s oldest and best preserved kasbah, it was recently declared Humanity Heritage by the Unesco. It is also, well known as a location for movies production as Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia,etc. Crossing Grand Atlas we arrive to Marrakech.

9 Day : Marrakech – Marrakech .

A full day to explore the historical monuments of the city.For instance;Jemaa lafna square,the old medina,the koutoubia minaret,the bahia palace,majorelle gardens,historical saadins tombs and the famous coranic ben youssef school.The visit will be by a local guide.

10 day : Marrakech departure.

At the suiteable time transfer to the airport and the end of ourservices.
