3 Days Trip from Marrakech to Marrakech via Sahara Camel trek

 

ITINERARY:

Day 1    : Marrakech –Atlas Mountains – Ait ben haddou world Heritage Site –  Ouarzazate – Roses Valley – Dades Gorges.

You will be picked up by a four-wheel drive by one of our staff. We start our trip heading southbound to Ouarzazate towards Tizi n Tichka (pass) with 2260 mts high. By this way we will discover oasis, kasbahs and the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains. It is an occasion as well to appreciate the Berber villages and their lifestyle. Driving through the world human heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. It is considered as UNESCO centre since 1987. The major landscape for many movies such as:

After, visiting this Castle, we continue our way passing through cinematographically capital Ouarzazate to reach the Roses valley with its fabulous sights and views. Then we end our journey by the Dades Gorges.

Day 2:  Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges –  Arfoud – Merzouga  (The Desert dunes):

 

After breakfast, we begin the day, going through the magnificent gorges for some panoramic views, and then we drive a head to splendid gorge of Todra. It is a canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinghir city. Here the canyon narrows to a flat stony track, in places as little as 10 metres (33 ft) wide, with sheer and smooth rock walls up to 160 metres (525 ft) high on each side. Later we continue our way through many small a Berber villages to reach one the biggest Oasis in Morocco; Tafilalet palm groves.  Erfoud is a destination for filmmakers due to the beauty of the surrounding Sahara Desert and the town’s oasis areas. It is known too by its geological situation, that make it a very famous land for Fossils. All kind of marbles products can be found here. By the late afternoon we arrive to the desert dunes area. Its time to change 4×4 to have a camel ride to sleep on the middle of the dunes on the desert camp.

 

 

Day 3 : Marzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After enjoyed night on the middle of the dunes, we get back to the hotel, where we can have breakfast and shower. On our way to Ouarzazate we enter Rissani city, here is where all the financial movement takes place and it is the first Imperial City of the Country, the Souk under the red arches and its many Ksours. Following the road to Alnif, nkoub and many other villages to reach the magnificent Valley of Draa. It is the longest river in Morocco, about 1200 kms a long with 350 or 400 kms full of palm trees. Going through this lovely valley, crossing the mountains of anti Atlas going back via Ouarzazate crossing back the atlas mountains to reach Marrakech by late afternoon.
